When Finn, Master Lizard Maker, finds himself stranded here with his lover, an attractive Newlie Mycer named Letitia, and his most magical creation, a talking, thinking, cantankerous mechanical lizard named Julia Jessica Slagg---his very first thought is: "Let’s get out of this place, and fast!"

But the Nuccis, three generations of madmen, have other plans for Finn and his loyal companions. There’s a very ancient, very odd machine in the cellar that needs fixing. And who better to do it than a Master Lizard Maker? Finn’s first thought was right on the money: "Get out now!"

So why doesn’t good sense come along exactly when we need it?
