Alien Luren - vampire-like creatures - are already among us, having been stranded on Earth for generations. Some Luren, the "Residents," consider themselves part of human society. The "Tourists" consider humans as barely more than prey, and await the return of the Luren race.

Astronomer Titus Shiddehara is a Luren Resident who fears that Luren civilization will enslave humanity. On the moon he is surprised to find Inea, a human, and his long lost love. His relationship with Inea rekindles and he reveals his true nature, and the nature of the threat facing humanity. Along with Inea, he works to sabotage the message to the Luren, even as a more powerful Luren works to stop him. The odds are against Titus, especially when his opponent discovers his love for the vulnerable Inea.
